The Global Tax Manager, reporting directly to the Global Tax Director, will support the global tax function by ensuring compliance, optimizing tax efficiencies, and supporting strategic business objectives. This role involves assessing the tax positions of group entities, managing VAT compliance and strategy, ensuring transfer pricing compliance and documentation, and providing critical tax-related input on legal agreements and acquisitions. The role aims to enhance the organization’s global tax position while minimizing risks and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Tax Position and Optimization:
- Review and analyze the tax positions of all group entities to ensure compliance and identify areas for optimization.
- Identify and implement strategies for utilizing tax credits, incentives, and deductions across jurisdictions.
- Develop and recommend tax-efficient structures for new acquisitions, restructurings and corporate initiatives.
- VAT Oversight and Customs:
- Oversee and manage the VAT positions of group entities, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the implementation of VAT and customs processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Transfer Pricing Compliance:
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of transfer pricing policies to align with international regulations.
- Maintain detailed and compliant transfer pricing documentation across jurisdictions.
- Evaluate intercompany transactions to ensure they align with transfer pricing policies and minimize risks.
- Tax Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other compliance obligations across all operating jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with local finance teams and external advisors to address jurisdictional tax requirements effectively.
- Support tax audit processes by preparing and providing required documentation and strategic responses.
- Review of Legal Documents and Strategic Advisory:
- Review legal documents from a tax and transfer pricing perspective, ensuring potential risks are addressed and optimized for compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to provide tax-related insights during contract negotiations and acquisitions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on global tax matters.
- Partner with internal teams, including finance and legal, to align tax strategies with broader business objectives.
- Monitor and respond to changes in international tax laws, advising on implications and opportunities for the organization.
Your profile
- You have 5 years’ higher education (Master’s degree in Treasury, Master’s degree in CCA, DSCG, Master’s degree in finance or from a business school).
- You have at least 5 years’ experience in treasury, ideally acquired in a company
- You’re not afraid of production and operational work – on the contrary!
- You are comfortable using tools such as kyriba diapason sage and other TMSs
- You are fluent in English and French,
